Barfresh Food Group Inc. announced on October 8, 2025 that it has completed the acquisition of all outstanding capital stock of Arps Dairy, Inc., an Ohio‑based dairy processing company. The transaction was finalized for approximately $1.3 million in debt repayment, funded through an expansion of the company’s existing line of credit.
The acquisition immediately adds Arps Dairy’s 15,000‑square‑foot processing facility and a 44,000‑square‑foot state‑of‑the‑art manufacturing plant that is nearing completion in Defiance, Ohio. Production of select Barfresh products has already begun at the existing facility, and construction of the larger plant is slated to finish in 2026.
Barfresh cites the deal as a strategic move to eliminate third‑party manufacturing fees, streamline ingredient procurement, and reduce freight and cold‑storage costs through integrated operations. The company also notes enhanced oversight of production processes and the potential for significant operational efficiencies.
Following the acquisition, Barfresh has raised its fiscal‑year 2025 revenue guidance to $14.5 million–$15.5 million and issued preliminary fiscal‑year 2026 revenue guidance of $30 million–$35 million, a 126 % increase over the high end of the 2025 guidance. Management expects the expanded manufacturing capacity to be accretive to earnings in 2026 as the new facility reaches full operational capacity.
