Bruker announced on April 11, 2025, a significant menu expansion of its validated PCR assays on the BeGenius® sample-to-answer molecular diagnostics system at the ESCMID Global conference. This enhances its offerings in infectious disease testing. The ELITe BeGenius system is an automated PCR platform providing a broad range of molecular in-vitro diagnostics tests across multiple clinical areas, including transplant pathogen monitoring and healthcare-associated infections. It can run up to 72 tests during an 8-hour shift and handles diverse human sample types. Additionally, Bruker introduced the new IR Tracker™ software for the IR Biotyper frontline solution, which accelerates the detection of suspected outbreak isolates and provides color-coded reports on microbial strain relatedness. This aims to facilitate fast and cost-effective detection or rule-out of potential hospital outbreaks.
