BTC Digital Ltd. announced on May 13, 2025, a significant expansion of its proprietary mining operations with the deployment of new Bitmain Antminer machines. The company installed 400 new Bitmain Antminer T21 units, which are expected to add approximately 76 petahashes per second (PH/s) to its Bitcoin mining hash rate.
In parallel, BTCT also introduced 24 Bitmain Antminer L9 machines into its operations. These L9 units contribute an additional 380 gigahashes per second (GH/s) of Litecoin (LTC) mining capacity, diversifying the company's cryptocurrency mining efforts.
Each T21 miner delivers up to 190 terahashes per second (TH/s) and features an advanced air-cooling system for stable operation. The L9 miners, each providing approximately 16 GH/s, support the Scrypt algorithm, making them suitable for mining LTC and other similar cryptocurrencies. This upgrade enhances the productivity and revenue stability of BTCT's self-operated mining farms.
