Bitdeer Technologies Group announced its unaudited mining and operations updates for September 2024, highlighting significant progress in its ASIC technology roadmap. The company successfully completed the tape-out of its SEAL02 chip, which demonstrated an efficiency of 13.5 J/TH at low voltage in ultra power-saving mode.
This second-generation chip is set to power the SEALMINER A2 mining machines, with mass production and market release scheduled by the end of 2024. Management noted promising early demand for its cutting-edge technology and the industry's desire for supply chain diversification.
Regarding mining operations, self-mined Bitcoins remained stable compared to August, while hosting hashrate increased sequentially by 0.3 EH/s. This increase was attributed to new customers hosting more efficient miners, and Bitdeer plans to refill excess capacity with new hosted miners and its own SEALMINERs between Q4 2024 and Q1 2025.
