Bitdeer Technologies Group announced the successful testing of its latest Bitcoin mining chip, SEAL02, following its tape-out. The SEAL02 chip, developed in partnership with TSMC, demonstrated an exceptional power efficiency ratio of 13.5 Joules per Terahash (J/TH) during verification and prototype tests, operating in a low voltage, ultra power-saving mode. This achievement meets the power efficiency milestone outlined in the SEALMINER technology roadmap, reinforcing Bitdeer's commitment to innovation in the ASIC market. The company's Chief Business Officer, Linghui Kong, stated that this efficiency positions Bitdeer at the forefront of industry standards. The SEAL02 chip is slated for integration into the upcoming SEALMINER A2 mining machines, with mass production scheduled to commence in November 2024. Additionally, research and development work on the third-generation chip, SEAL03, is progressing as planned, indicating a continuous pipeline of advanced mining solutions.
