BWX Technologies, Inc. announced it has been awarded contracts with a total value exceeding C$1 billion for two major nuclear energy projects in Ontario, Canada. These contracts are crucial for supporting the province's clean energy initiatives.

Under the first contract, BWXT will manufacture 48 steam generators at its Cambridge facility for Ontario Power Generation's (OPG) life extension of the Pickering Nuclear Generating Station. This project is vital for extending the operational life of a significant nuclear power source.

The second contract supports the deployment of a new small modular reactor (SMR) at the Darlington site. This involvement positions BWXT as a key player in the emerging SMR market, leveraging its North American manufacturing capacity for critical nuclear components.
