Broadway Financial Corporation announced the appointment of John A. Allen as Chief Banking Officer, effective January 13, 2025. This newly created leadership position will see Mr. Allen overseeing Commercial Sales and Banking, Credit Administration, Operations, and Retail, with a direct reporting line to President & CEO Brian Argrett.
Mr. Allen brings over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, having previously served as Region President for Wells Fargo across the Washington, D.C. metro area. His background also includes roles as Executive Vice President & Region President at Santander Bank and Market President at Capital One Bank, demonstrating extensive leadership in diverse banking environments.
Concurrently, Ruth McCloud, Chief Operating Officer of City First Bank, provided notice on January 13, 2025, of her retirement from the bank, effective March 31, 2025. Ms. McCloud served the bank for a decade, and she will work with her team and broader bank leadership to ensure a seamless transition of her responsibilities prior to her departure.
