Beazer Homes broke ground on its newest community, GreenHouse, on November 20 in Marietta, Georgia. This development is set to become the largest community in the United States to offer homes certified as Zero Energy Ready.
GreenHouse will include 591 homesites and represents the largest development in Cobb County in over a decade. Beazer Homes has committed to building 100% of its homes to the U.S. Department of Energy Zero Energy Ready Home standards by the end of 2025.
The company's CEO, Allan Merrill, emphasized that these homes are more durable, comfortable, and cost less to operate, reflecting Beazer's commitment to sustainability and higher building standards. This initiative positions Beazer Homes at the forefront of energy-efficient construction, potentially attracting buyers seeking lower operating costs.
