CAE
October 08, 2025

CAE was identified as a strategic partner to the Government of Canada on February 12, 2025, for the Future Fighter Lead-in Training (FFLIT) program. This partnership involves working with the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) to design and co-develop training for pilots operating Canada's advanced CF-35A fighters.

The FFLIT program is crucial for equipping fighter-pilot candidates with the advanced skills necessary for complex 5th Generation fighter operations. This decision highlights CAE's global leadership in training and innovation and its commitment to supporting national defense capabilities.

This new role builds upon CAE's existing significant defense engagements, including a C$11.2 billion, 25-year contract awarded to its SkyAlyne joint venture for Canada's Future Aircrew Training (FAcT) Program in May 2024. In October 2024, CAE signed a $1.7 billion sub-contract from SkyAlyne to provide pilot training for the RCAF, further cementing its long-term involvement in Canadian defense modernization.
