Churchill Downs Incorporated announced the grand opening of Owensboro Racing & Gaming in Owensboro, Kentucky. This marks the company's seventh premier historical horse racing (HRM) entertainment venue in Kentucky.
The $100 million gaming and entertainment facility features 600 state-of-the-art HRMs, a retail sportsbook, and simulcast wagering, alongside multiple food and beverage options. The venue is designed to enhance entertainment offerings in western Kentucky.
This new HRM entertainment venue will also contribute to purse funding for Ellis Park Racing & Gaming’s summer racing meet in Henderson, Kentucky. The opening expands CDI's footprint and strengthens the state's horse racing industry.
