The Cigna Group Foundation has announced the establishment of its new Health Equity Impact Fund, committing $9 million over the next three years to nonprofit organizations. This initiative is part of the Foundation's ongoing efforts to reduce health disparities in underserved communities.

The first cohort of 15 grant recipients will receive a total of $3 million, with funding allocated across Hartford, CT, and Houston, TX. These grants are specifically targeted to expand access to critical resources, including fresh produce, reliable transportation, and culturally appropriate care.

Programs in Hartford will support Black and Hispanic adults aged 18 and older to increase access to culturally appropriate care. In Houston, programs will focus on Hispanic adults aged 18 and older to address and reduce the prevalence of obesity and diabetes, aligning with the Foundation's hyper-local approach to community impact.
