Montana Renewables, LLC (MRL) delivered its first shipment of 7,000 gallons of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) to the Detroit Metropolitan Airport (DTW). The fuel was transported via the Buckeye Pipeline facility in Dearborn, Michigan, and is designated for use by Delta Air Lines. This delivery marks another significant milestone in the decarbonization of air travel, expanding MRL's market presence into new major airport hubs. MRL produced and blended the SAF, showcasing its integrated capabilities. The SAF supplied for DTW was produced using camelina oil, a non-food renewable feedstock. This highlights MRL's commitment to utilizing diverse and sustainable raw materials in its renewable fuel production processes.
