Buckeye Health Plan, a subsidiary of Centene Corporation, has been selected by the Ohio Department of Medicaid (ODM) to continue providing Medicare and Medicaid services for dually eligible individuals. This new agreement is for a Fully Integrated Dual Eligible Special Needs Plan (FIDE SNP).
FIDE SNPs integrate care for dually eligible beneficiaries under a single managed care organization, ensuring enrollees receive all medical, behavioral, and long-term services through one plan. Buckeye is among four health plans chosen by ODM for this new product.
Buckeye's current MyCare Ohio program serves over 9,000 members across 12 counties, and the FIDE SNP product has the potential to expand its reach statewide when the program expands in 2027. This contract reinforces Centene's commitment to serving complex healthcare needs in Ohio.
