Core & Main announced the acquisition of Pioneer Supply, a distributor of water, wastewater, and storm‑drainage products with locations in Moore, Oklahoma, and Weatherford, Texas.
The deal expands Core & Main’s footprint in Texas and Oklahoma, adding Pioneer’s established customer base and regional expertise to its national network of more than 370 locations. The acquisition aligns with Core & Main’s strategy to grow its presence inside the fence at treatment plants and strengthen its position in the water infrastructure market.
Core & Main reported strong financial performance in fiscal 2023, with net sales of $6.702 billion, a 0.8% increase year‑over‑year, and net income of $531 million. Adjusted EBITDA for the year was $910 million, slightly down 2.7% from 2022, driven by higher SG&A expenses. The acquisition is expected to enhance revenue growth and operational synergies in the water and wastewater segments.
Management highlighted that Pioneer Supply’s reputation for quality and service complements Core & Main’s mission to deliver exceptional value. Brad Cowles, president, said the acquisition represents a “wonderful opportunity to expand our presence in Texas and Oklahoma.” William Dozier, CEO of Pioneer Supply, noted the shared focus on culture and customer service.
The transaction is expected to close in the second half of 2026, subject to customary closing conditions. No financial terms were disclosed.
