CenterPoint Energy announced that it has restored nearly 99% of customers impacted by Winter Storm Blair in southeastern Indiana, with over 60,000 customers now having power again. Approximately 700 customers remained without power as of Thursday evening.
Teams have worked tirelessly over several days to address widespread damage caused by downed trees, limbs, and thick ice, reducing outages from a peak of 61,000. While substantial completion has been achieved, a small number of isolated and complex outages are anticipated to extend into Friday.
More than 1,000 personnel, including CenterPoint crews, contractors, and mutual assistance crews, will remain mobilized until power is fully restored to all customers who can safely receive service. The company continues to provide estimated restoration information via its outage map.
