ConocoPhillips has signed a definitive 20-year sale and purchase agreement (SPA) with Sempra Infrastructure for 4 million tonnes per annum (Mtpa) of liquefied natural gas (LNG) offtake. This volume will come from the Port Arthur LNG Phase 2 development project in Jefferson County, Texas.

This agreement significantly advances ConocoPhillips' global LNG portfolio strategy, building on a prior agreement for 5 Mtpa from Port Arthur LNG Phase 1. The company aims to build a flexible and reliable LNG supply network to meet growing energy demand.

The Port Arthur LNG Phase 2 project is expected to include two liquefaction trains capable of producing approximately 13 Mtpa of LNG, increasing the total facility capacity to up to 26 Mtpa. This expansion is a key component of ConocoPhillips' long-term value proposition in the global energy market.
