On February 24, 2025, Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CPKC) announced that Unifor, representing its mechanical employees in Canada, has ratified a new four-year collective agreement. This agreement covers approximately 1,200 mechanics, laborers, diesel service attendants, and mechanical support staff.

CPKC President and CEO Keith Creel highlighted that the agreement, achieved through collaborative bargaining, provides employees with improved wages and benefits for years to come. The strong support for ratification ensures long-term labor stability for these railroaders.

This marks the second new collective agreement ratified by CPKC employees in Canada this year, following the Teamsters Canada Rail Conference Maintenance of Way Employees Division's ratification earlier in the month. These agreements collectively enhance the company's ability to safely and efficiently serve its customers and support the North American economy.
