Freightos announced a partnership with Megacap Aviation Service, a leading general sales agent for China trade lanes, that will give more than 5,000 global freight forwarders instant digital access to capacity from 13 airlines in Megacap’s portfolio, beginning with Ethiopian Airlines, Africa’s largest cargo operator.

The deal expands Freightos’ airline network and reinforces its position as a vendor‑neutral marketplace. By integrating Megacap’s carriers, Freightos can offer real‑time pricing, booking, and capacity visibility across a broad range of airlines, thereby deepening network effects and increasing transaction volume potential on key China‑driven trade corridors.

Freightos’ recent financial performance underscores the strategic value of the partnership. Q4 2024 revenue rose 25% to $6.6 million from $5.3 million in Q4 2023, and full‑year 2024 revenue reached $23.8 million, up 17% from $20.0 million in 2023. The partnership is expected to open new revenue streams from high‑volume China‑Africa and China‑global lanes, further accelerating growth momentum.

Megacap’s portfolio includes carriers such as Ethiopian Airlines, Aeromexico, and other airlines across Asia‑Pacific, Europe, the Middle East, and the Americas. This breadth gives Freightos access to a wide range of capacity options, enhancing service coverage for freight forwarders and strengthening the platform’s appeal to customers seeking comprehensive multimodal solutions.

Freightos has received mixed analyst ratings, reflecting the market’s cautious view of the company’s ongoing net losses and valuation. Nonetheless, the partnership is viewed as a strategic move to capture high‑volume trade lanes and improve revenue and margin prospects, aligning with Freightos’ broader goal of digitizing the freight industry.

CEO Zvi Schreiber emphasized that the partnership is a key step in Freightos’ mission to digitize global freight. He highlighted the company’s focus on expanding network reach, launching AI‑driven tools, and broadening its multimodal booking platform, all of which are expected to drive long‑term growth and strengthen the company’s competitive position.
