Critical Metals Corp announced on August 7, 2025, that Tanbreez Mining Greenland A/S has appointed NIRAS A/S, a globally leading multidisciplinary engineering and environmental consultancy, to complete the Definitive Feasibility Study (DFS) for the Tanbreez Rare Earth Project. The DFS will cover a 500,000 metric tons per annum mining and processing operation.
The DFS is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2025 and will address all technical, environmental, and commercial aspects of the project. This study is an essential technical report that positions the mine for future production and will form the central component of the Tanbreez updated Exploitation License documentation.
The submission of the DFS to the Mineral License and Safety Authority (MLSA) of Greenland will support the progression of the project towards final approval to commence commercial mining operations. Mr. Anders Isak Stig-Jørgensen, Project Manager at NIRAS, will represent the company in formal interactions with Greenlandic authorities and stakeholders.
