Cerence Inc. reported its first quarter fiscal year 2025 results, exceeding the upper end of its guidance for both top-line revenue and adjusted EBITDA. The company also demonstrated strong free cash flow during the quarter ended December 31, 2024.
During the quarter, Cerence achieved significant progress on its generative AI roadmap, reaching critical development milestones for its next-gen agentic, conversational AI platform. The company secured six design wins and two wins for its generative AI solutions, alongside six major customer Start of Production (SOPs) and two generative AI SOPs.
For the second fiscal quarter ending March 31, 2025, Cerence expects revenue in the range of $74 million to $77 million, including $20 million of projected Fixed License revenue. Adjusted EBITDA is projected between $18 million and $22 million, with net income expected in the range of $1 million to $5 million. Full fiscal year 2025 guidance remains unchanged.
