Centerspace announced that Jeff Caira, a member of its Board of Trustees, will retire upon the expiration of his annual term at the conclusion of the 2025 Annual Meeting of Shareholders on May 14, 2025. Mr. Caira has provided leadership to the company since his appointment in 2015, serving as Board Chair from April 2017 to December 2021.
During his tenure, Mr. Caira also served as Chair of the Nominating and Governance Committee and as a member of the Audit Committee. Board Chair John Schissel acknowledged Mr. Caira's consistent and invaluable leadership, particularly his guidance during the company's transition to a pure-play multifamily REIT. President and CEO Anne Olson also recognized his unwavering commitment to improvement.
This retirement is part of an ongoing board refreshment process, with Centerspace having added a new board member in January 2024 and another in July 2024, alongside a previous trustee retirement in May 2024. The company expressed appreciation for Mr. Caira's contributions to its operations and growth platform.
