This designation identifies the property as development-ready, having met rigorous criteria including infrastructure and utility availability, environmental reviews, and appropriate zoning.
The site's strategic location, less than three miles from two Interstate 10 interchanges and its proximity to the Port of Mobile, makes it attractive for industrial users needing rail access. Scannell Properties plans to invest approximately $15 million in transportation infrastructure upgrades for the park.
The development will include nine industrial buildings, with at least four offering rail service by CSX. This marks the fourth Platinum CSX Select Site designation in Alabama since the program began in 2012, underscoring CSX's commitment to fostering economic growth and offering innovative logistics solutions.
