Castellum’s Specialty Systems subsidiary has been awarded a $66.2 million, five‑year full‑and‑open prime contract to provide logistics, engineering, and cyber‑support services for the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division’s Lakehurst Mission Operations & Integration Department. The contract covers the Digital Engineering, Engineering Integration, and Logistics & Maintenance Integration divisions that support aircraft launch and recovery equipment and platform support equipment for the Navy and other DoD programs.
The award is Castellum’s first full‑and‑open prime contract without small‑business set‑aside restrictions and represents the company’s second‑largest contract win. It follows a $103.3 million NAVAIR contract awarded in February to its GTMR subsidiary for Special Missions Management of On‑Site Services supporting ISR&T programs.
Castellum’s strategic focus on acquiring and growing technology companies in IT, electronic warfare, information warfare, and cybersecurity is reinforced by this win. The company has completed six acquisitions in the last three years and is actively pursuing larger, full‑and‑open opportunities to transition to a larger business status.
Financially, Castellum reported a net loss of $1.55 million for the six months ended June 30, 2025, with an operating margin of –10.24% and a net margin of –11.59%. However, Q2 2025 showed record revenue, a narrowed operating loss, and an increased cash balance, indicating improving performance. The company’s backlog as of June 30, 2025 was $201.99 million, with $161.19 million in priced options subject to future appropriations.
The new contract expands Castellum’s capabilities in logistics, engineering, and cyber‑support for aircraft carriers and air‑capable ships, strengthening its position as a technology provider in federal cybersecurity and electronic warfare. It aligns with the projected growth of the federal cybersecurity market, which is expected to reach $166.73 billion by 2032 at a 12.5% CAGR.
