On October 8, 2025, Carvana Co. announced that it will bring Inspection and Reconditioning Center (IRC) capabilities to its existing ADESA Long Island wholesale auction site in Yaphank, New York. The 50‑acre facility, which has served wholesale customers for more than 20 years, will become Carvana’s tenth IRC integration of 2025 and will support both retail and wholesale operations.
The integration will create roughly 100 new jobs in inspection, reconditioning, and vehicle fulfillment as Carvana begins hiring local team members. By adding IRC capabilities, the site will provide a new pool of retail inventory that can be delivered as soon as the next day, while wholesale buyers gain on‑site inspection and reconditioning services and continued access to ADESA’s in‑lane and digital auction platforms.
This expansion strengthens Carvana’s vertically integrated model, increasing reconditioning throughput and reducing delivery times for customers in the New York metropolitan area. The move aligns with the company’s strategy to grow capacity and efficiency without proportionally increasing fixed costs, supporting its long‑term goal of scaling to 3 million annual retail units.
