Cushman & Wakefield announced that its Global Occupier Services team has secured a new off‑market extension with BHP, the world’s leading resources company. The renewed agreement covers 12 countries, 19 offices and more than 1,466,000 sq ft of office space across Australia, Asia, North America, South America and the United Kingdom, and expands the firm’s service offering to include facilities management, workplace experience, change & engagement, design standards, PMO and analytics, procurement, lease administration and minor transaction management.

BHP cited Cushman & Wakefield’s strong operational performance, collaborative approach and commitment to cost containment and innovation as key reasons for exercising the option to extend. The partnership began in 2017 as a regional contract for Australia and Asia and grew to a global engagement in 2021. The extension now supports BHP’s Workplace Digital and AI Roadmap, positioning Cushman & Wakefield as a trusted partner for the company’s global corporate office portfolio.

The win adds a steady revenue stream to Cushman & Wakefield’s already robust GOS business. In Q3 2025 the company reported revenue up 11.2% year‑over‑year and an adjusted EBITDA margin of 9.0%, an improvement driven by strong leasing and capital‑market activity and disciplined cost control. Earnings per share of $0.29 beat consensus estimates of $0.28, a $0.01 or 3.6% beat that reflects the firm’s ability to maintain margins while expanding its client base.

Cameron Ahrens, Head of Global Occupier Services, Asia Pacific, said the extension “reinforces our partnership with BHP and demonstrates the value we bring to a complex, global portfolio.” CEO Michelle MacKay added that the renewal “underscores our momentum in the resources sector and our commitment to delivering innovative, technology‑enabled solutions.”

The contract extension strengthens Cushman & Wakefield’s competitive position in the resources sector and signals confidence in its global occupier services model. By aligning with BHP’s digital transformation agenda, the firm is poised to capture additional value from technology‑driven workplace solutions while reinforcing its reputation as a trusted partner for large, multinational clients.
