CoreCivic has been awarded two new contracts with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to utilize 3,593 beds at its California City Immigration Processing Center and Midwest Regional Reception Center. Both facilities were idle at the beginning of the year.
Once fully activated, these two facilities are expected to generate nearly $200 million in total annual revenue. The geographic locations of these centers are anticipated to enhance CoreCivic's ability to support ICE's efforts in enforcing immigration laws across the United States.
While the intake process at the Midwest Regional Reception Center has been delayed due to legal challenges, CoreCivic plans to offer newly hired employees opportunities to be redeployed at other activations until these issues are resolved. The finalization of these contracts lays a foundation for continued earnings growth into 2026 and beyond.
