Digital Realty announced the formation of Digital Realty Bersama, a 50-50 joint venture with Bersama Digital Infrastructure Asia (BDIA), to develop and operate data centers across Indonesia. This strategic move extends Digital Realty's PlatformDIGITAL® into the dynamic Indonesian market, aiming to support the country's accelerating digital economy. Digital Realty contributed approximately $100 million upon closing for its 50% interest in the data centers and adjacent land. The joint venture now owns and operates a connected campus in Jakarta, including the recently launched CGK11 data center, which initially offers 5 megawatts (MW) of IT load capacity and is expected to expand to 32MW. The CGK11 facility is strategically located in Central Jakarta and provides robust connectivity, including direct access to APJII, Indonesia's largest internet exchange provider. Digital Realty will also receive property management and development fees from the joint venture, further diversifying its revenue streams in this high-growth market.
