The final EIS incorporates feedback from multiple interested parties, including Indigenous nations and the CNSC's Federal Indigenous Review Team. The submission was supported by letters of consent from English River First Nation, Kineepik Métis Local #9, and several northern municipalities, demonstrating strong community engagement.
This milestone brings the Wheeler River Project closer to federal regulatory approval, with CNSC staff now reviewing the EIS for acceptance and preparing recommendations for a public hearing.
