This new pricing model aims to provide a predictable way for customers to manage and analyze logs, simplify scoping and budgeting, and drive log management tool consolidation while reducing costs. It offers an alternative to the existing usage-based plan, both maintaining the same low ingest price.
Customers can configure retention periods from 10 to 35 days with this option, and Dynatrace plans to introduce features allowing customers to mix and match log pricing options on a per-bucket basis in the future. This flexibility is designed to optimize log analysis expenses and maximize value from log data.
