Carbon Impact leverages business events and Smartscape topology to translate host utilization metrics into energy consumption in watt hours (Wh) and greenhouse gas emissions in carbon dioxide equivalent (CO2e). These metrics are automatically enriched with contextual information for granular analysis.
The app provides a unified interface to explore and analyze IT energy consumption and carbon footprint across hybrid and multicloud environments. It also offers optimization recommendations based on discovered idling and underutilized hosts, allowing organizations to measure progress against defined reduction goals.
