DT Midstream, Inc. (NYSE: DTM) announced today that it has closed a binding open season to award expansion capacity on its Guardian Pipeline. Five shippers were awarded a total of 328,103 Dth per day, with a targeted in‑service date of November 1 2028. The new capacity, combined with the 208,800 Dth per day awarded in July 2025, brings the total expansion to 536,903 Dth per day, an approximately 40% increase over the pipeline’s current 1.3 Bcf/d capacity.
Guardian Pipeline is a 260‑mile interstate line that serves key Wisconsin demand centers and is interconnected to DT Midstream’s Midwestern Gas Transmission and Vector Pipelines. The 40% capacity boost positions the company to capture growing natural gas demand in the Upper Midwest, potentially translating into higher transport volumes and incremental revenue over the next several years. The expansion also strengthens DT Midstream’s competitive footprint in a region where demand for clean natural gas is projected to rise.
"The strong interest in this expansion capacity is an indication of the growing demand for natural gas in Wisconsin and the Upper Midwest region where our pipelines are well‑positioned," said David Slater, President and CEO. The announcement underscores DT Midstream’s focus on expanding its network to meet long‑term demand and supports its strategy of delivering reliable, demand‑based transport services to a high‑grade customer base.
