On 13 October 2025, EHang Holdings Limited announced the launch of its new‑generation long‑range pilotless electric vertical take‑off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft, the VT35, at a ceremony held at Luogang Park in Hefei, Anhui Province. The company set the domestic price of the standard VT35 at RMB 6.5 million and highlighted that the aircraft has a fully loaded range of approximately 200 kilometers, a maximum take‑off weight of 950 kg, and a compact footprint of 8 meters in length, 8 meters in wingspan, and 3 meters in height. The VT35 features a tandem‑wing layout with eight distributed lift propellers for vertical take‑off and landing, transitioning to a pusher propeller and fixed wings for efficient cruise flight. Its design builds on the earlier VT30 prototype and incorporates advanced autonomous flight systems, obstacle detection and avoidance, and a fully redundant safety architecture. The aircraft is compatible with existing EH216‑S vertiports and can operate from a variety of urban sites such as parks, rooftops, and parking lots. By expanding its product line from the urban‑focused EH216‑S to a medium‑ to long‑range platform, EHang positions itself to capture intercity, cross‑sea, and cross‑mountain transportation markets. The VT35 launch follows the March 2025 acceptance of its type‑certificate application by the Civil Aviation Administration of China, accelerating the company’s path to airworthiness certification and commercial deployment. This milestone broadens EHang’s revenue potential and strengthens its competitive stance in the emerging low‑altitude economy.
