Enlight Renewable Energy announced on December 10, 2024, the initial commencement of commercial operations at its Pupin wind farm in Serbia. The project, which has a production capacity of 94 megawatts, is expected to achieve full commercial operation during the first quarter of 2025, approximately half a year earlier than initially planned.
The Pupin wind farm was constructed using 16 Nordex wind turbines. It is projected to sell 72% of its generated electricity for the next 15 years to the state-owned utility Elektroprivreda Srbije under a Market Premium Agreement and Contract for Difference structure, priced at EUR 68.88 per MWh and indexed to the Eurostat CPI.
With a total construction cost estimated between $155-160 million, the Pupin project is 100% owned by Enlight. In its first full year of operation, the wind farm is expected to generate approximately $22-23 million in revenues and $16-17 million in EBITDA, contributing to Enlight's European segment growth.
