Accelsius, a leader in advanced data center cooling solutions, announced that its proprietary NeuCool™ IR80 system will be deployed in Q3 2025 at Equinix’s Co-Innovation Facility (CIF). This facility is located within the DC15 International Business Exchange (IBX) data center on the Equinix Ashburn Campus. The deployment aims to showcase innovative cooling technologies in real-world scenarios.

The NeuCool™ IR80 system is a two-phase, direct-to-chip liquid cooling solution that allows for 6–8°C warmer inlet water temperatures compared to other technologies. This warmer water temperature translates to significantly more free cooling and reduced reliance on energy-intensive compressors, leading to substantial energy savings. The dielectric fluid used in Accelsius’ system is non-conductive, ensuring safety for electronics.

This partnership highlights a shared commitment to energy efficiency and is crucial for handling the powerful, high-density hardware demands of modern computing and AI. By working with companies like Accelsius, Equinix continues to iterate and innovate on high-density cooling solutions, a critical aspect of data center operations. This enhances Equinix's infrastructure capabilities for advanced AI workloads.
