Eaton announced the appointment of Omar Zaire as president, Corporate and Electrical Sector, Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region, effective November 6, 2024. Zaire will succeed Tim Darkes, who is set to retire from Eaton on June 1, 2025.
Zaire brings 27 years of experience in the electrical industry, with 16 years at Eaton, having held various leadership roles globally. He previously served as senior vice president and general manager of the Power Reliability Division, Electrical Sector, Americas.
This executive appointment is a key leadership change for one of Eaton's significant business segments. Zaire will report to Heath Monesmith, Chief Operating Officer, Electrical Sector, and join Eaton’s senior leadership team, indicating a strategic focus on the EMEA region.
