On August 7, 2025, 5E Advanced Materials, Inc. announced the completion of the Preliminary Feasibility Study (Technical Report) for its Fort Cady Project. The report highlights robust economics for the project located in the Mojave Desert, California.
The Technical Report outlines a pre-tax Net Present Value (NPV7) of US$724.8 million and an Internal Rate of Return (IRR) of 19.2%. It also projects an initial mine life of 39.5 years, underscoring the large, multi-generational high-grade colemanite deposit.
This study supports 5E's strategy to become a vertically integrated global supplier of critical and industrial materials through in-situ extraction of colemanite. The project aims to produce boron and calcium-based products to support global electrification, energy, food security, and critical defense applications.
