Forum Energy Technologies and Nauticus Robotics have entered into a Manufacturing and Sales Agreement that will see FET manufacture, commercialize and distribute Nauticus’ Olympic Arm™ electric manipulator system while Nauticus continues to develop the autonomy and control software that powers the device.

The deal combines FET’s proven subsea equipment platform with Nauticus’ advanced manipulation software, creating a field‑ready solution that offers absolute position sensing, direct Cartesian control and subsea tool‑changing capabilities. FET will leverage its global manufacturing footprint to bring the Olympic Arm to market faster and at scale, while Nauticus will focus on refining the underlying perception‑driven task‑automation and obstacle‑aware maneuvering that make the system all‑electric and highly reliable.

The partnership is a key milestone in FET’s 2030 vision to double revenue and capture a larger share of the growing subsea autonomy market, which is projected to reach $4.64 billion by 2030 with an 8.2% CAGR. A prior successful deployment of Nauticus’ ToolKITT™ platform on a FET ROV in October 2025 demonstrated the technology’s field readiness and helped lay the groundwork for this expanded collaboration.

From a financial perspective, the agreement is expected to generate new revenue streams and strengthen FET’s competitive moat in subsea robotics. The Olympic Arm’s all‑electric design offers higher maneuverability and lower maintenance than hydraulic alternatives, positioning FET to win contracts in both drilling and completions and artificial lift segments where subsea automation is becoming a differentiator.

Neal Lux, CEO of Forum Energy Technologies, said the collaboration “reflects a shared commitment to advancing subsea operations through all‑electric technologies. By combining our manufacturing expertise with Nauticus’ autonomy software, we are expanding industry access to high‑performance electric manipulation systems that improve reliability, reduce maintenance and lay the foundation for future intelligent control.” John Gibson, President and CEO of Nauticus Robotics, added that the agreement “brings our intelligent manipulation technologies to a broader commercial market and advances a strategy of licensing our designs for rapid market penetration.”

The subsea autonomy market is expanding rapidly, driven by offshore oil and gas investment, defense surveillance and deep‑sea research. FET’s focus on drilling and completions and artificial lift and downhole segments means the Olympic Arm could accelerate growth in both core revenue drivers, supporting the company’s goal of achieving a higher revenue mix and stronger margins in the coming years.
