Forum Energy Technologies, Inc. announced it has executed a contract to supply a state-of-the-art submarine rescue vehicle system (SRV) for use by the Indonesian Navy. This significant award underscores FET's capabilities in specialized subsea defense equipment.
The comprehensive contract includes an LR600 model SRV, a custom-designed launch and recovery system (LARS), and a decompression system. The LR600 SRV is capable of operating at depths of up to 605 meters and can carry 20 people, integrating advanced technologies for distressed submarine location and personnel transfer.
Neal Lux, President and CEO, highlighted FET's 50 years of experience in manned and unmanned submersibles, noting that its cutting-edge technologies are safety systems of choice for military and naval forces globally. The SRV will be built at FET’s Kirkbymoorside, England facility, with the LARS manufactured at its Bryan, Texas facility, with sea trials planned for 2028.
