FutureFuel Corp. (NYSE: FF) announced today, 2025‑10‑16, the launch of a new specialty chemical production investment at its Batesville, Arkansas, facility. The investment will enable the company to vertically integrate a key raw material and is expected to ramp up production volume throughout Q4 2025, with the new capacity beginning to contribute to sales in Q1 2026. In June 2025, FutureFuel had idled its biodiesel production due to regulatory uncertainty and high input costs. The company now reports that clearer guidance on the IRA 45Z clean fuel production credit and a slight improvement in the soybean input market give it the confidence to restart biodiesel production sometime in Q4 2025. FutureFuel also announced the closure of its remote headquarters in St. Louis, Missouri, consolidating all corporate activities and key personnel at the Batesville plant. The move is intended to streamline operations and focus resources on the primary production, technology, and administrative site.
