Fifth Third celebrated the groundbreaking for a new full-service banking center in Cincinnati’s Avondale neighborhood, an area that has been without a standalone bank branch for nearly five years. This new branch is expected to open in late summer or early fall 2025.
The Avondale branch is among 15 banking centers Fifth Third plans to open this year in low- and moderate-income (LMI) or high minority (HMT) population census tracts. This initiative aims to increase financial access and contribute to the revitalization of the Avondale community.
Fifth Third has made $33.6 million in direct investments into Avondale and helped catalyze an additional $17.9 million from other entities, totaling a $51.5 million financial impact. The new 2,024-square-foot branch in Avondale Town Center will offer digital services and complex banking products, with Walnut Hills-based Triversity Construction as the general contractor.
