Flex Ltd. and LG Electronics announced a partnership to jointly develop integrated modular cooling solutions for gigawatt‑scale data centers. The collaboration combines Flex’s liquid‑cooling portfolio, proprietary power products, and IT infrastructure solutions with LG’s high‑performance air and liquid cooling modules, including CRAC, CRAH, chillers, coolant distribution units, and thermal‑management and monitoring solutions.

The joint solutions will be integrated into Flex’s AI infrastructure platform, which was launched on October 13, 2025. The platform is described as the first globally manufactured data‑center platform that integrates power, cooling, compute, and services into modular designs, enabling deployment speed gains of up to 30%.

Flex’s Q1 2026 earnings report showed revenue of $3.2 billion, up 12% year‑over‑year, and adjusted earnings per share of $1.45, exceeding consensus estimates of $1.30. LG Electronics reported Q2 2025 revenue of $12.5 billion, down 4% year‑over‑year, and operating profit of $1.1 billion, reflecting a decline in consumer electronics demand but growth in its data‑center business.

The partnership is expected to strengthen both companies’ positions in the rapidly expanding AI data‑center market, where demand for high‑density computing and advanced cooling solutions is rising. Flex aims to capture a larger share of the high‑density computing market, while LG seeks to accelerate its global expansion in the data‑center sector.

Management from both companies highlighted the strategic importance of the collaboration. Flex’s CEO emphasized the need to address power, heat, and scale challenges in the AI era, and LG’s executive noted the opportunity to deliver unique value through integrated cooling capabilities.
