Flowserve Corporation has been awarded a contract to supply Dry Gas Seals and Dry Gas Seal Systems for a carbon capture initiative by Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC). This project, developed in collaboration with Celeros Flow Technology, aims to capture and store 1.5 million tons of carbon dioxide annually. The initiative is a key part of ADNOC’s broader decarbonization strategy. Flowserve's seals and systems will be integrated into high-pressure injection packages, pioneering the first-ever continuous supercritical CO₂ (sCO₂) pump injection services for enhanced oil recovery. This technological achievement highlights Flowserve's growing leadership in the decarbonization market. The project involves installing two high-pressure injection packages in ADNOC’s Habshan gas plant. Lamar Duhon, President of Flowserve Pumps Division, emphasized the ingenuity and collaboration required for this complex project. The innovative application of pumps for sCO₂ applications and Flowserve's sealing solutions mark a significant advancement in Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS). ADNOC aims to increase its carbon capture capacity to five million tons annually by 2030.
