Fresenius Medical Care announced a two-year partnership with Mexico's Coordination of National Institutes of Health and Specialty Hospitals (CCINSHAE) to extend access to High-Volume Hemodiafiltration (HVHDF) for patients. This pilot program will provide low-income patients without medical coverage in Mexico with access to advanced dialysis therapies.

The collaboration involves the installation of 150 Fresenius Medical Care 5008S CorDiax technology systems in participating renal treatment centers in Mexico City and its metropolitan area. This technology supports both standard hemodialysis and HVHDF, which has demonstrated improved patient well-being and cost-effectiveness.

The initiative has already provided HVHDF treatment to 240 new CCINSHAE patients and transitioned 410 regular patients to the therapy. This partnership represents a significant advancement in chronic kidney disease care in Mexico, leveraging clinical evidence from studies like the CONVINCE Trial, which reported a 23% reduction in all-cause mortality for HVHDF patients.
