First Solar's significant manufacturing footprint in the U.S., including its $1.1 billion Alabama facility and three operational facilities in Ohio, relies on Shoals' custom junction boxes, which are also manufactured in Alabama. The Alabama facility alone created over 800 direct manufacturing jobs.
This long-standing partnership is crucial as First Solar works towards achieving over 14 gigawatts of annual domestic nameplate capacity by 2026. The strengthened domestic supply chain enhances First Solar's operational stability and competitive advantage in the U.S. market.
