Fury Gold Mines completed 3,685 m of drilling in seven holes at its Sakami Gold Project in Quebec’s James Bay region, extending near‑surface gold mineralization by 185 m. The campaign confirmed that the gold‑bearing structure at La Pointe Extension is open to depth and to the west, providing a stronger geological framework for future resource estimation.
The most significant intercepts came from holes 25SK‑005 and 25SK‑003. Hole 25SK‑005 intersected 26.0 m at 0.71 g/t Au, including a 6.5‑m interval at 1.76 g/t Au, while hole 25SK‑003 recorded 59 m at 1.59 g/t Au. The Juliette anomaly was also targeted; hole 25SK‑006 intersected intense silicification and sulphide mineralization but did not produce significant gold.
These results reinforce Fury’s strategy of developing high‑grade gold assets in Canada’s prolific mining jurisdictions. By extending mineralization and confirming the structural continuity of La Pointe Extension, the company gains a clearer path toward a formal resource estimate and a more robust project valuation.
CEO Tim Clark said the drill results “deliver valuable geological insight and set a good foundation for evaluating future follow‑up work, including the potential estimation of a mineral resource.” Senior Vice President of Exploration, Bryan Atkinson, added that the new data are being incorporated into an updated geological model that will be advanced to the resource stage in the near future.
The Sakami Project covers approximately 14,250 hectares in the Eeyou Istchee Territory and has a history of high‑grade gold intercepts dating back to the Quebec Precious Metals era. Fury’s acquisition of QPM consolidated ownership and allowed the company to build on a strong exploration legacy. The recent drill results, combined with the project’s extensive mineralized trend, position Sakami as a key component of Fury’s portfolio and a potential catalyst for future capital allocation decisions.
With the updated geological model and confirmed structural continuity, Fury plans to move the Sakami Project toward a resource definition, which could unlock additional value for shareholders and support the company’s broader growth objectives in the Canadian mining sector.
