Gauzy Ltd. announced on February 27, 2025, that it was awarded an exemption renewal by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA). This regulatory approval positions Gauzy to accelerate the mainstream adoption of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) in commercial vehicles across the United States.

The exemption grants Gauzy the right to replace traditional mirrors on public transit buses in all 50 states with its AI-powered Smart-Vision® camera monitor system (CMS), pending necessary approvals from individual state governments and local transit agencies. This opens the potential to retrofit over 900,000 licensed buses in the U.S. with the Smart-Vision® system.

Gauzy's Smart-Vision® CMS is already operational on approximately 300 public buses across the U.S., including those of the Capital District Transportation Authority. The company has pending approvals from 21 additional states, indicating a strong pipeline for further market penetration and a sizable new revenue stream for its Safety Tech division.
