Gauzy Ltd., in collaboration with Research Frontiers, announced on July 14, 2025, the first customer delivery of General Motors’ Cadillac CELESTIQ. This fully electric vehicle sedan features patented Suspended Particle Device (SPD) smart glass technology supplied by Gauzy, marking a significant milestone in their ongoing production program with GM.

The CELESTIQ's roof incorporates the industry's largest piece of dimmable smart glass ever used in a production vehicle, segmented into four independently controlled zones. This allows each occupant to customize the tint level above them, enhancing passenger comfort and personalization.

Powered by Gauzy's dynamic SPD technology, the glass can switch in seconds to block up to 99.5% of visible light, 99% of harmful ultraviolet (UV) rays, and 95% of infrared (IR) radiation. These performance benefits contribute to reducing HVAC energy consumption by up to 40% and increasing the effective driving range of electric vehicles.
