Gauzy Ltd. announced on April 23, 2025, that its smart glass technologies have been extensively implemented in the new Mercedes-Benz Vision V show car, unveiled at Auto Shanghai 2025. Approximately 75% of the Vision V’s glazing incorporates Gauzy’s advanced smart glass solutions.
The Vision V marks the first time Mercedes-Benz has selected Gauzy’s dual technology smart glass windows, combining both Suspended Particle Device (SPD) and Polymer Dispersed Liquid Crystal (PDLC) into a single glass unit. This configuration enables seamless transitions between transparent, shaded, and private states, and creates projection surfaces for digital content.
This collaboration reaffirms the strong partnership between Gauzy and Mercedes-Benz, highlighting the growing integration of smart glass technologies in passenger cars, particularly in electric vehicles. The automotive smart glass market is projected to reach $25 billion by 2028, positioning Gauzy for continued growth in this sector.
