Globus Maritime Limited reported a net loss of $1.9 million for the second quarter of 2025, or $0.09 basic loss per share, a significant reversal from a net income of $3.3 million, or $0.16 basic income per share, in Q2 2024. The daily Time Charter Equivalent (TCE) rate for the second quarter of 2025 decreased by 22% to $11,444 per vessel per day from $14,578 per vessel per day in Q2 2024. This decline is attributed to unfavorable market conditions in the bulk shipping sector during the quarter, despite the company operating an average of 9 vessels compared to 7 in Q2 2024.
For the first half of 2025, Globus Maritime reported a net loss of $3.35 million, or $0.16 basic loss per share, compared to a net income of $3 million, or $0.14 basic income per share, in the first half of 2024. Revenues for the six-month period increased by 5% to $18.2 million from $17.2 million, primarily due to a higher average number of vessels operated, which was 9.4 in H1 2025 compared to 6.9 in H1 2024. However, the daily TCE rate for the first half of 2025 decreased by 22% to $10,274 per vessel per day from $13,246 per vessel per day in H1 2024, also due to unfavorable market conditions.
