Mr. Friedrich brings extensive experience from both the public and private sectors, having served in senior legal roles at Cognizant Technology Solutions and Chevron. He was also a law firm partner and spent 13 years as a federal prosecutor at the U.S. Department of Justice, concluding his public service as the Acting Assistant Attorney General of the Criminal Division. This background is critical as laws and regulations in digital assets and AI continue to evolve.
Mike Novogratz stated that Matt Friedrich is a critical addition to Galaxy's leadership team as the company scales its business and drives innovation globally. His expertise will be key to expanding Galaxy's footprint and shaping the next chapter of digital assets and AI, particularly in navigating the complex regulatory landscape. Mr. Friedrich succeeds Andrew Siegel, who served as General Counsel since 2017.
